Alan Berg (politician)

Alan B. Berg (August 27, 1916 - July 31, 1989) was an American politician and forestry professor at Oregon State University.^[1] Berg served on the city council of Corvallis, Oregon, from 1973 until 1978.^[1] He later served as the Mayor of Corvallis for two terms from 1979 until 1986.^[1]

Berg married his wife, statistician Helen Berg, in 1983.^[1] The couple remained married until his death in 1989.^[1] Helen Berg would later be elected as Corvallis' first female mayor from 1994 until 2006.^[1]
